Manuscript Services
April 2, 2006
These are the core services that Write Sense offers:
Editing
Manuscripts are edited for spelling, punctuation, style, word usage, clarity and flow, redundancies and inconsistencies, sentence structure, and subject-verb agreement. Facts are checked and formatting (page breaks, extra spaces, indentations) corrected.
After editing, the author receives three copies of the manuscript: One Word file will contain all the changes made to the manuscript, with corrections in color. A second file, in rich text format, will show the version with applied corrections. A third copy, in Acrobat format, is a read-only version of the edited file.
Once the author has browsed through the manuscript and agrees to all changes, he can send his edited copy to any publishing house for the next step: layout.
We charge $4 for every 500 words. A normal turnaround time for a 25,000-word manuscript would be a week.

Press Releases
An efficient marketing tool, a press release is a 200-word article that tells about the book and its author. Your agent may send this out to a number of media who may be able to use this.
Before writing a press release, we usually send the author a list of questions that include the following:
- What is trailblazing about your book?
- Give five words that best describe your book.
- Please give a short description of your background. How long have you been writing? What other books have you written? What are your hobbies? What makes you an authority on this subject?
- Could you share with us any interesting experience or discoveries you made while writing this book? How did you come up with idea to write it?
We charge $50 for each written article. You will receive your press release within a week of submission of your answers and other related materials.
